Introduction
Anyone can be a League Director!  All you need is at least one badminton court, and you can generate income for yourself or your facility.   Click on Introduction for a slide show, or click on

League Structure
The NBL offers 38 recreational divisions and four playing levels. Each division has its own format and playing season, and league winners have the opportunity to progress to State/Province Playoffs, Regional Playoffs, and the national NBL Championships.  Click on Levels, Calendar, Regions for more information.

Recruit Players
An excellent way to find players is through Sportsvite.com (to read more about this website, scroll down this page to League Management).  Once you have a league page on Sportsvite, badminton enthusiasts will be able to contact you.

League Registration League directors have the choice of three registration options.  Please note: In any of these options, league directors may charge local league fees to cover their own costs. Leagues that are not registered may not advance their winning teams to the State/Province Playoffs.

Option 1 No fees are sent to the national office. With this option, the national office will not provide T-shirts.  League directors must submit league registration forms, either electronically or by mail.  To submit the league registration form electronically, click here to open an Excel file (Click on the Save button or click on the Open button.  When you open this file, you may need to click on the maximize button at the top right of the worksheet to see all three sheet tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet).  Save the Excel document, fill in the required information, and email to playnbl@yahoo.com You may also electronically submit a Word document.  Click here to open the document, save it, fill in the required information and email to playnbl@yahoo.com To submit your league registration by mail, click here to open the Word document.  Print this document, fill in the required information, and mail to: National Badminton League P.O. Box 11653 Merrillville IN 46411.

Option 2 League directors will mail base fees to the national office.  With this option, all registered participants will receive T-shirts from the national office. For mail-in league registration, the following base fees will apply: Junior leagues $15.00 per person Adult leagues $25.00 per person For senior players who participate in Adult leagues, the Adult base fee will apply. Senior leagues $20.00 per person For senior players who participate in Adult leagues, the Adult base fee will apply. Box 11653 Merrillville IN 46411 Please make checks payable to National Badminton League.

Option 3 League directors will electronically submit base fees to the national office.  The online league registration system accepts Visa credit, Visa debit, MasterCard credit, MasterCard debit, Discover, or ECheck (which comes directly out of your checking or savings account). With this option, all registered participants will receive T-shirts from the national office. For online league registration, the following base fees will apply:   Junior leagues $18.00 per person Adult leagues $28.00 per person For senior players who participate in Adult leagues, the Adult base fee will apply. League Management
Managing a league requires that you distribute league schedules, collect and record match results, compute weekly standings, and keep everyone informed with announcements. 

Managing a league can be as simple as using your facility's bulletin board.  However, we recommend that you obtain a free league page at Sportsvite.com so your players (and participants in other leagues) can view results and standings.
